Those of you who knew Mark remember him as a truely unique individual. But for me, he was something I could never put into words. Mark could make me laugh no matter what the situation was. I always tell stories of how he used to make me laugh and my favorite was about seven months before he died. We got lucky and got tickets to go to a Monday night Steeler game. We started parting early and the cold beers were going down smooth. We decided to take the Gateway Clipper across the river to the stadium. Markie was complaining that he was hungry and I had to pee and the line for the bathroom was so long on the boat that I figured once we got off I could sneak off into a parking lot and go. Once the boat docked we ran down to the nearest parking lot. There was a group of tailgaters drinking and cooking in the lot where I decided let nature call. As started to do my thing Markie walks up to the tailgaters' , without saying a word, goes to thier table, grabs a plate and helps him self to a hot sausage sandwich and some sides. I couldn't help but to laugh. I asked him what are you doing and he said, "eating" ! To make things worse after he finished his sandwhich he had the nerve to ask one of them for a napkin. If I hadn't just gone, I would have .... I was laughing so hard.
  Wish You Were Here

So, so you think you can tell
heaven from hell,
blue skies from pain?
Can you tell a green field from  a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
Did the get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees.
Hot air for a cool breeze.
Cold comfort for change.
Did ya exchange a walk on part in the war,
for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl
year after year,
running over the same old ground.
What have you found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
A big thanks to Dan Bryl for helping me with this web site!.

On the second Sunday of December at 7 pm we light a candle in memory of our loved ones lost.
Every Sunday me and my friends get together, watch the Steeler games and hang out. The first year after Mark died we lit a candle and placed it on a serving table next to his picture. Melanie's sister came over with her daughter Raelynn. Raelynn was only 15 months old when Mark passed but now she was 22 months. When she entered the room in which we were all sitting, she walked up to the table were the candle and picture were placed. She leaned over and put her face really close to Mark's picture ........ turned around and gave us a big wave and said Markie says " HEY NOW!"
Needless to say there wasn't a dry eye in the room.
Our fallen loved ones will be with us forever.

In Loving Memory Of Those Lost On 9-11-01
dear mr. president,                                        sept.18, 2001

i understand you're a busy man and have alot to do.
but if i could just have a minute and a word with you?
i can not vote, pay taxes or understand your latest address,
but from what i hear we have a really big mess !
i pray that when you figure out what to do,
you remember me and the millions just like me too.
we are the future, the hope and the reason the world goes on.
we are a smile, a chuckle, and in a sense, a brand new dawn.
not to take away from the old and the wise,
but we are the youth and future in the world's eyes.
so bring us justice ........ swift and quick !
such evil really makes us sick !
so protect us, defend us, and make us proud !
let them hear america nice and loud !
                              GOD BLESS AMERICA !
Please remember and pray for those lost on 9-11-01, their families and the soliders that are fighting for our freedom right now !
